A streamlined broker experience: Introducing our new Consumer and Commercial Finance teams

At Plenti, we’re committed to continuously improving the broker experience. Based on broker feedback, we’re changing the structure of our broker sales teams to create a simpler, more efficient way to do business with us.
What’s changing?
From 1 April, we’re introducing two dedicated broker support teams:
- The new Consumer Finance Team, led by Nicki Olds, will bring together personal lending and consumer automotive under one team. This means brokers will now have one BDM and one RM for all consumer lending. Nicki has been with Plenti since 2016 and has led the Personal Lending team since 2020. She has worked closely with brokers to deliver fast, flexible lending solutions and is passionate about creating a seamless and consistent experience across consumer lending.
- The new Commercial Finance Team, led by Louis Edwards, will focus on commercial automotive lending. Louis is currently Head of Renewable Energy Finance and has been with Plenti since 2017, bringing extensive experience in structured finance and partnerships to his new role. With this new structure, commercial brokers will now have a dedicated team focused on providing stronger support and driving product improvements. This will allow us to enhance our commercial finance offering and ensure it remains competitive, while making it easier for brokers to get the assistance they need.
Why are we making this change?
These changes are designed to simplify processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve the overall broker experience. Many brokers have told us that managing different contacts for consumer lending products can be confusing. By consolidating these teams, brokers will have one BDM and one RM now supporting both personal and automotive lending, providing more consistent communication and support for all consumer lending, and making it easier to do business with us.
This update will also improve efficiency for brokers and our sales teams by reducing duplicated meetings and administrative work. Smaller, more focused portfolios will allow our teams to provide deeper support and build stronger relationships, while brokers will benefit from clearer communication and better insights into cross-product opportunities.

Enhancing the consumer lending experience
With consumer lending now under one team, brokers will have a streamlined point of contact for personal lending and consumer automotive. Nicki Olds, who will lead the new Consumer Finance Team, highlighted the benefits for brokers:

Strengthening our focus on commercial lending
Having a dedicated Commercial Finance Team will allow Plenti to sharpen its focus on commercial brokers and invest in improving the commercial finance product. Louis Edwards, who will lead the new Commercial Finance Team, shared his enthusiasm for this next step:
“I’m looking forward to working closely with brokers to enhance our commercial finance products and ensure we remain competitive in this space. We have a great opportunity to build on our existing strengths and continue delivering solutions that help brokers and their clients achieve their goals.”
A message of thanks
As part of these changes, Joel Pothin, our current Head of Automotive Finance, has decided to move on from Plenti. Since 2019, he has played a key role in reshaping our automotive finance products, introducing commercial finance and strengthening partnerships with brokers, aggregators, and brands like Tesla, Cadillac, and Harley Davidson. We appreciate his contributions and wish him all the best in his next chapter.
What’s next?
We’re in the final stages of confirming the team structure, and on 1 April, brokers will receive an email confirming who their assigned BDM and RM will be.
